Impulse lectures & keynotes
about mental health
Promote mental and psychological health
More and more companies are offering their employees the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information on health topics such as nutrition and exercise during working hours at regular intervals as part of their occupational health management or occupational health promotion program, as a follow-up measure to a "risk assessment of psychological stress in the workplace," during health days or even entire health weeks.
Mental health, especially topics such as stress management, burnout or resilience promotion, are also playing an increasingly important role here.
Quick and compact introduction to the topic
Impulse lectures or keynotes with a length of approximately 60-90 minutes, including a question and answer session, are ideal for giving people a quick introduction and a rough overview of various topics in a condensed form.
Impulse presentations and keynotes can be held both in person and online.

We also offer many of our lectures in English.
English has become the corporate language, especially among international corporations and universities, which is why we also offer a selection of our lectures, training courses and eLearning courses in English.
Some of our trainers are fluent in English due to their many years of experience in large companies and/or extended stays abroad.

Overview of our most important topics:
Further current topics can be found below.

Mental health – the meta-competence of the 21st century
Experts estimate that in 20-30 years, up to 50% of all jobs will be replaced by robots and artificial intelligence.
A large portion of the population already earns their living with their brains. However, our brain functions similarly to a computer – if the RAM is overloaded, the system is at risk of crashing. Symptoms such as chronic fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and declining memory often lead to a vicious cycle of errors, even more work, and even more symptoms.
In this lecture you will learn how you can strengthen your mental health, take preventative measures and react in an emergency.

Let's talk about psyche – when the brain gets sick
Mental disorders are still largely stigmatized in our society – although the brain is involved in all processes of the human body and its health is therefore a central issue.
This lecture will cover how you can recognize the first signs of disorders of brain metabolism and the central nervous system in yourself and others, how mental disorders are currently classified, how you can best prevent them and how you can act in acute cases.
With a sound scientific background, this lecture aims to openly discuss diseases of the most important organ in the human body and thus break taboos.

Stress – what really happens in the body
In today’s society, stress is more present than ever – but what exactly is stress?
In this lecture you will learn how stress is defined, what stress is actually good for and how you can quickly recognize that you or other people are under stress.
You will receive an overview of the first symptoms of stress, such as increased irritability or high blood pressure, and which secondary illnesses, from sleep disorders to heart attacks, can occur if you do not counteract them.
In addition, you will receive some tips on how to better deal with stress and which short exercises can help.
Do you need keynote speeches for your managers?
Your managers are pillars of the company. They also play a significant role in the mental health of all employees. However, healthy leadership always starts with good self-leadership.
On our separate page on the topic "Healthy Leadership & Healthy Managers" you will find exciting keynote speeches and seminars or workshops for the most important employees in your company.

Burnout – myth or illness?
It was long considered a “managerial disease” – but burnout has nothing to do with specific professions or the amount of work.
Burnout has many causes and is increasingly affecting young people.
If you or others are increasingly feeling overwhelmed, experiencing a decline in performance, and lack of energy, this talk is sure to be a real eye-opener. You'll learn more about the warning signs and triggers of burnout, as well as some tips for prevention.

Individual resilience – growing through crises
Our world currently presents us all with many different challenges – our world is VUCA: but while some give in, others seem to calmly overcome problems.
Resilience is therefore also referred to as a psychological immune system and aims to train attitudes and skills to deal with crises more effectively or even emerge from them stronger.
In this lecture you will get an overview of the different models of resilience and will be given some practical questions and exercises to get you started.

Dealing with colleagues who are mentally stressed
The first symptoms of mental disorders such as concentration or sleep disorders are rarely noticed by outsiders – however, if they manifest themselves through irritability, frequent mistakes or even absences, it is advisable to address these visible changes early on.
But what are the right words to use here without offending colleagues? What attitude and framework are optimal for this? And if support is needed, what happens next?
We will clarify all these questions in this keynote speech.
Stress measurements as an ideal on-site supplement
Would you like to offer an exciting additional service in addition to a keynote speech in person?
Our stress measurements for individuals at our small exhibition stand take approximately 15 minutes per person and provide information about the current mental stress.

Mobbing – when colleagues become enemies
According to official statistics, an estimated one in nine adults experiences chronic conflict in the workplace. This affects not only the performance of an individual, but often the performance of entire teams, including management.
Ineffective workflows, declining motivation, or a lack of loyalty also affect the entire company. Bullying can therefore have serious consequences for those affected, managers, and companies.
In this lecture you will learn how bullying is precisely defined, which phases bullying goes through and in which phases you can still counteract it.

Dealing with difficult people
Every action serves to fulfill needs; unpleasant emotions are indications of unfulfilled needs such as anger or fear, while pleasant emotions are indications of fulfilled needs and lived values.
If people show interesting behavior in a specific context, it is worth taking a look at the hidden goal behind it.
A better understanding of one's own motives and those of the other person avoids conflicts and ensures a more harmonious working relationship overall.

Nonviolent communication – language that connects
“Nonviolent communication” is often also referred to as empathic communication, because the central content here is the communication of needs and emotions, followed by an appreciative request.
In this lecture you will receive an overview of the four steps of nonviolent communication according to Marshall B. Rosenberg and learn, using examples, how to build bridges and create real connections between people through clear and empathetic communication.
Would you like to increase the sustainability of your events?
Do you have the idea that just one event will quickly fizzle out and you would like to increase your investments?
This is precisely why we have our so-called "Mental Health Breaks" and our "Mental Health Cookies" developed.
These micro-inputs ensure that the topic remains permanently present and the learning effect increases.

"Mental Health Breaks" are short online micro-trainings lasting 20-30 minutes.

"Mental Health Cookies" are small theoretical and practical micro-inputs in newsletter format.

Generational conflicts – from baby boomers to Gen Z
Currently, up to five different generations work in companies – with Baby Boomers and Generation X having very different needs and values than Generation Y, Z, Alpha, and Glass. This often leads to communication problems or even internal conflicts.
A better understanding of the basic human needs of different generations and a look at the sometimes polarizing value systems can help us to better understand ourselves and others, to communicate more appreciatively and thus avoid friction.

Digital stress – healthy with technology
Many people's work takes place almost exclusively in front of computers and other small devices such as tablets or smartphones. Digital information technology has brought us great advances, but it also poses many risks, as constant use puts us into a state of chronic stress, both physically and mentally.
In this lecture you will learn which factors influence this and how we can use new media in a healthy way.

Dealing with fears and worries in times of crisis
For many people, the last few years have been characterized by a so-called "polycrisis" – in addition to everyday issues. Many people suffer from problems, both professionally and personally, that are not easily resolved and sometimes even have serious consequences, triggering chronic anxiety and worry.
In this compact presentation, you will receive an overview of the triggers and dynamics of anxiety and stress, as well as some practical micro-inputs for dealing with problems in a healthy way.

Resource training – activating sources of strength in a targeted manner
Current economic and social developments pose small and large challenges for many people on different levels.
Most people perceive these challenges as "too much of": too much work, too many deadlines, too much stress. In fact, challenges are "too little of"—namely, a lack of resources.
In order to be able to master challenges calmly and powerfully, it is important to train inner resources such as serenity, solution orientation and flexibility.
In this entertaining keynote speech, you will receive a brief overview of the topic of resource management – from support to calmness training with small action impulses so that you are well prepared for future tasks.

Appreciative communication
Appreciation is a basic need deeply rooted in us as humans.
Self-esteem is the basis for good access to one's skills, personal growth and self-confidence.
Experiencing appreciation from others motivates us, makes us happier and promotes connection.
Those who interact with the people around them with genuine interest and respect enjoy respect and trust, avoid conflicts and thus create a win-win situation for both sides.
In this keynote speech, you will receive an overview of the basics of "appreciative communication" as well as four strategies for successful communication.

Wonderful world of emotions – how we feel and decide
They are the salt in the soup and yet they often stand in our way:
Our emotions!
Emotions are not essentially positive or negative, but they serve as important indicators: pleasant ones are indicators of fulfilled needs and unpleasant emotions are important indicators of unfulfilled needs.
Emotions therefore have to be strong to trigger an impulse. They can motivate us or block us. If emotions become excessive, they can become a major obstacle to small problems, such as fear, anger, guilt, or shame.
In this keynote speech you will receive an overview of the basic human emotions and their guardians as well as approaches to emotion regulation.
Seminars & workshops as a supplementary practical part
Keynote speeches provide a good basis for obtaining basic information about a specific topic.
To make keynote speeches more lively or to practice them practically afterwards, seminars and workshops are a good option. In these workshops, theoretical content is practiced with practical exercises in small groups or using worksheets.

Reading faces – recognizing emotions
For harmonious interaction, it is important to communicate clearly. Body language signals are often more explicit than spoken words.
Scientific studies show that facial expressions are the most important and, above all, most reliable source of information about human emotions.
Our facial signals are therefore a reliable indicator of the emotional state of our counterpart.
The ability to clearly identify the emotions and underlying needs of the other person not only increases empathy but also puts us in good contact with our conversation partner. Recognizing agreement or objections, responding appropriately, and formulating accurate responses also improves the quality of the relationship and thus contributes significantly to mental health.

The new addictions – how digital seducers make us dependent
They have become almost indispensable in everyday life – approximately 75% of Germans own a smartphone, and among children and young people, the number is even higher than 90%. Added to this is the use of tablets, laptops, and other computers, which open up endless possibilities for us through constant access to the internet. We are the "Homo Digitalis" generation.
But what's very practical on the one hand can also be dangerous if we overdo it. New addictions like gaming addiction, shopping addiction, or social media addiction are on the rise, especially among the younger generation. In this seminar, you'll learn precise definitions, current statistics, and, above all, how to prevent and act in acute cases.

Healthy sleep – relaxed through the night, energetic for the day
Sleep is our greatest source of regeneration – if sleep is disturbed, the following day is usually less productive: we suffer from fatigue, can no longer concentrate well or forget things.
Chronic difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep usually has larger, holistic causes behind it.
In particular, regularly waking up between 2 and 3 a.m. can be an indication of chronic stress.
Through good analysis, consistent sleep hygiene or good stress management, sleep disorders can be prevented or acute symptoms can be alleviated.
Video preview on the topic
"Resilient communication"
These two videos, which were recorded on behalf of the "Alliance of Skilled Workers in the Lower Bavarian Main" in the studio of the "TV Studio Mainfranken", give you a first impression of how we think about the topic of resilience and communication.
Once in the context of how we speak to ourselves and once in the context of how we speak to others, such as our employees.
Have fun playing ;-)

Resilient communication with yourself and others
Our inner states and attitudes have a major influence on how we communicate with ourselves and others.
When we are irritated or angry, we consciously or unconsciously choose different words than when we are relaxed, benevolent or motivated.
For successful conversation and stable mental health, it is therefore important to understand how words work.
This presentation will cover how to actively listen, ask relevant, open-ended questions, and formulate accurate resonant statements, thus shaping the course of a conversation in a way that fosters rapport. You'll also receive some practical examples of how to perceive challenges differently, evaluate them differently, and thus communicate differently, and vice versa.

Appreciation works wonders
Our society thrives on the collaboration of diverse people, each contributing their own individual talents and skills. In doing so, we always follow our individual motivations and strive to fulfill our personal values.
If people are motivated according to their abilities and goals, they can even exceed their potential. If success isn't achieved, motivation also declines.
Conscious appreciation is therefore not only essential for consistently good performance, but also for harmonious cooperation.
In this presentation, you will learn exciting background information about our reward system and how you can even create a new feedback and error culture in your company through appreciation.

Values as a guide and source of meaning
Values are overarching principles that we consider desirable for ourselves and others. They are therefore important for our orientation, our decisions, and our motivation, and they significantly determine our behavior.
If values are attractive, we strive to achieve them. If we can live by them, our eyes light up.
If a value is threatened, we usually react with anger or other stress reactions.
In this presentation, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the value systems of different personality types and generations, some of which are aligned like a compass. This will help you develop more empathy and reduce communication problems and conflicts.
Space for individual concerns
During or after each keynote speech, all participants have the opportunity to ask the respective speaker individual questions, making the keynote speech dynamic.
Optionally, we offer additional practical training during or after the keynote speech. Micro-trainings to.

Psychological stuff for skeptics – mental health from a scientific perspective
Do you think this psychological stuff is only for wimps and burnout is only for lazy people?
Great – if you are still curious about the human psyche and are more easily convinced by statistics and studies than by the whining of your office neighbor, then this seminar is just right for you.
In this seminar, we will examine, from a very pragmatic and predominantly scientific perspective, exactly what happens in the body during stress, which systems of the body are thrown out of balance, and which resulting illnesses are typical. Those who have bravely persevered until this point will be happy to learn more about prevention and first aid.

Mindfulness 2.0 – acting focused in the digital age
The origin of "mindfulness" lies particularly in attitudes and activities in harmony with our body and nature.
However, there are now many helpful analog and digital gadgets and tools, for example, from biofeedback and neurofeedback, that can support us in our routines and exercises. Those who like can add tracking, monitoring, or challenges to optimize their personal training goals.
You will receive practical and, above all, everyday short exercises that you can easily integrate into your daily life and expand with helpful gadgets or tools to improve your mindfulness, focus and ability to regulate.

Meaning and self-efficacy as motivation boosters
People’s behavior is largely determined by basic human needs and related value systems.
In particular, the younger generations Y and Z strive far less for consistent values than for flexibility and self-determination.
Since the turn of the millennium, there has even been talk of a so-called “change in values” – away from discipline and loyalty, towards individuality and development, which often leads to so-called “generational conflicts”.
Therefore, feeling a sense of purpose in one's professional activity and being able to actively shape processes are currently very popular. In this presentation, you will learn how to create attractive and motivating conditions for yourself and others.

Healthy interaction with LGBTQ in teams and organizations
In the context of mental health, we want to support people who are currently in their personal orientation phase to find their place in the world of work – and we want to encourage teams and organizations to approach this topic with an attitude of curiosity and appreciation.
This keynote speech aims to educate and create a culture in which openness, acceptance and empathy can lead to more diversity, more inspiration and more innovation.
